Meet Nate Dishong

Nate Dishong was assigned to the JET program and attended orientation on October 3, 2011. From the beginning, Nate displayed a professional demeanor. The fact that Nate had previously completed two associate degrees was not enough to keep him from falling victim to the economic crisis facing so many these days.

Nate was offered the opportunity to keep his office skills up to date through participation in a Work Experience assignment at Michigan Works!. As part of his assignment in JET, Nate attended a Job Seeker Workshop being offered by GTEC that was presented by Kim Miller. Nate enjoyed the workshop and maintained close contact with Kim after that presentation. Nate combined the best advice from that seminar with the intense Job Search activities he was already performing for JET.

Perseverance prevailed when Nate obtained full time employment with ASAP Sales & Services, Larry Richards Inc. in the position of Business/Office Manager. Nate says his new position is challenging and rewarding. He is happy to be putting the skills he trained for in school to use again. Nate has a positive attitude and a helpful, friendly approach to customer service; all winning characteristics that improve employability. We are happy to have worked with Nate and look forward to enjoying a long term business relationship with ASAP Sales & Services.
