MICHIGAN TALENT BANK INSTRUCTIONS FOR EMPLOYERS


Michigan Works! Service Center staff are always available to assist you with completing this information.  

 

 

To begin using the Michigan Talent Bank, follow these simple instructions for access.  Once you register your business, you can make modifications to your account, search resumes, or post your job opening.

 

 

TO REGISTER YOUR BUSINESS

  1. Go to www.michworks.org to access the Michigan Talent Bank.

  2. Click on FIND EMPLOYEES on the blue drop down menu on the main page.

  3. Click on SIGN UP to establish your FREE account.

  4. Fill in the requested information.  All fields marked with a red dot are required.

  5. Your Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) is mandatory and must be verifiable before access to the Talent Bank can
        be authorized.

  6. Create a User ID and Password. (6-14 characters in length).

  7. To help remember your Password, enter a Hint.  Click on SUBMIT.

 

TO MODIFY YOUR ACCOUNT INFORMATION

  1. Go to www.michworks.org to access the Michigan Talent Bank.

  2. Click on FIND EMPLOYEES on the blue drop down menu on the main page.

  3. Click on MODIFY SIGN UP from the blue drop down menu.

  4. Make any changes needed and click on MODIFY at the bottom of the screen to save your changes.

 

TO SEARCH FOR RESUMES

  1. Go to www.michworks.org to access the Michigan Talent Bank.

  2. Click on FIND EMPLOYEES on the blue drop down menu on the main page.

  3. Click on RESUME SEARCH  from the blue drop down menu.

  4. Click on Search resumes for prospective employees.

  5. Enter your USER ID and PASSWORD.

  6. From the Search Criteria Screen we recommend that you start with a Text search with the option to expand the criteria by Job
        Location
    ,
    Non-Text and/or Job Titles.

 

TO POST A JOB OPENING

  1. Go to www.michworks.org to access the Michigan Talent Bank.
  2. Click on FIND EMPLOYEES on the blue menu on the main page.
  3. Click on ENTER JOB ORDERS on the drop down menu.
  4. Enter your USER ID and PASSWORD.
  5. Click on Submit to update, resubmit or review an existing job order. PLEASE NOTE:  All job orders are submitted for referral
       of Veterans Only for the first 24 hours.  After 24 hours the job order is accessible to all job seekers.
